The dog days of summer are over, the kids are in school and it's time to game again. The UFT community is offering up a plate full of tournaments in the coming weeks. Following is an indepth look at current and coming events to the community.
 AZFL/Planetfreeze.com Sponsored Events::
NEWB'd UFT Tournament :: Tournament is currently being played with cbx, r4t, PIE, xhale, and L0D|3 the remaining teams looking to be crowned the NEWB'd Champion. The tournament is a double elimination tournament with PIE and cbx the only teams not to lose yet. PIE vs. cbx and xhale vs. r4t happening this week!
AZFL 3 warmup 1 :: Starting in mid October, the AZFL warmup tournament is setup to facilate more competitive teams looking to work out team kinks before the actual AZFL Season 3 is set to start. The tournament will be double elimination, played on the AZFL mode. So far 7 teams have signed up. Early predictions see TLK][ running the table here with uN or cbx making a strong showing.
uCTF Summer iCE 1 :: The first attempt to test the CTF capabilities of the UFT mod. This tournament is set up to give all UFT teams an opportunity to learn CTF, while welcoming in several OSP CTF teams to the UFT mod. Settings will be exactly that of OSP CTF, but played on UFT AZFL Servers. A 7 map rotation will be used. 10 teams have now signed up, including CCCP and both KL teams from OSP!
Quake Fest Olympics (last years website) :: Sponsored by Clan Sharpshooter and supported by the AZFL, this event is the 2nd annual UFT community Olympics. This time around the event will be set up similar to a Track & Field Meet, with clans competing for the meet gold. Individual Medals will also be given out in several events, including the famous 'Popsicle Push' across pro-q3dm6. 'Homer Shoot' will be back along with 'Best Trick'. More details coming soon!
Other Community Events/Tournaments
BTS Tournament :: Back To School'd UFT Tournament offers up a unique format with 12 teams slated to begin competing sometime in October. The Tournament is being put on by dark0 of clan 49 and should offer some good competition. All skill levels are grouped in one division and all matches will be played on the BTS Central Server.
OGL UFT Ladder :: The OGL is an ongoing UFT 4v4 TDM ladder, currently with 15 teams competing. Right now TLK][ holds rung #1 with 2 of the 3 L0D teams #2 and #3 following. Clan B, who just joined a few weeks ago, has challenged TLK][ for #1. Look for match details at the site.
