Another 2 clans signed up this week. We have a confirmed 7 teams in the All Weapons and 4 in the Insta. We are waiting for the Western FT Leagues to send us their entries and we also have started to tap the old Quake 3 Arena guys to let them know the changes ID has made to the Mod. Our goal is to have at least 10 clans in each division. We are getting close to a start date, once we have established 10 clans for each division we will impose a cutoff date for roster entries.

Sorry for the 3 day gap in my posts. We have been extremely busy fielding emails with regards to the league. The Euro side has taken off with interest and we will hopefully see at least 8 teams in the Euro division for insta and All Weapons. We have added Canadian to our list of Admins for the WFL North American side. He is also a committed member of the FT community and has outstanding input into the design of the rules because of his great understanding of the MOD. Welcome aboard Canadian!!!!

We would like to welcome DocPossible to the team as the European representative for the World Freeze League. Doc's dedication to the Freeze Tag Mod on the Euro side remains unchallenged and we are Glad to have him Aboard. We have an email addy for Doc, it is posted in the upper left.

We will be designing a new section for the European half of the WFL (World Freeze League) very soon.

We have added another clan to the ladders, RIP (Rest In Pieces) Welcome RIP. We will be starting warm up ladders soon to attract more interest. I will be scheduling dates for warm-up matches and will email you in a week or so.

We have 3 clans already for the ladders in one day....we need 4 to start....we need one more clan to have enough teams to start a competitive ladder. We can put as many clans as we want on the ladders they will just start from the bottom of the ladder is all.... and challenge up.  Please read the entire page as then you will have a better idea of what we are trying to do.

We are now taking Clans for our ladders which will be starting up on Fragged-Nation. Please submit all information including Clan Name, Names of Members, Leader of Clan and an email address that we can send your information to. Please note that Clans have to have a minimum of 6 players and one of the members has to have a Pro Membership. We are also taking the names of players that want to play in ladders but don't have a clan. We will either organize a clan for you or put you on an existing clan. Please send all Clan and player requests to Reaper.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to unite all the North American Freeze Tag leagues and all the European Freeze Tag leagues into one World League, Insta and All Weapons. Each league will have one representative. One from the NA side and one from the Euro side. We are planning to do an Insta League as well as an All Weapons league both consisting of a single ladder and tournaments for all participating clans both on the Euro and North American sides. We each will play ladders and qualifying tournaments to accumulate points based on the way we set it up. At the end of our season the North American side will play off against the Euro side for a World Cup of Freeze Tag - All Weapons and a World Cup Freeze Tag for - Insta. We could have the finals at maybe....Quakecon....to promote the FT Mod. If ID is agreeable.

Sponsors

 We have approached 2 major sponsors with our ideas and have been met with open arms. We were hoping that we could make this an annual event however the sponsors suggested making it semi annual, meaning that we would hold the WFT Cup final tournament twice per year in 6 month intervals with a 2 month break in the middle. We are considering this as a viable starting option.

Cheat Software

Plain and simple, we have none for now. The way we are going to get around this is to have everyone record a demo. If the player is asked to produce his/her demo and cant or wont....that team forfeits that game. The ref should remind everyone to start recording before game play commences.

Settings

We would first like to thank ID for all the changes that were made to the MOD so that we can even have these settings. We are almost there, we need some Anti-Cheat software, we are still waiting for our starting weapon to be changed to a RL and we need to fix the spawning so we aren't spawning into 3 enemies all the time. Also, spec player would be a big help and a true strategic addition and the coach position which set the game apart from all other mods.

These are the settings that we are promoting as the WFL settings for our Freeze Tag Community. Time limit is 20 minutes with a 20 point round limit. Friendly Fire is also on and self damage too. Damage through the floors is on and you start with ALL your weapons. NOTHING resets after a point so only the team that lost the point spawns in with full health the other team has what they had at the end of the round. We feel that these are the best settings for a combination of both strategy and game play. We have the only game on the internet that plays at 125FPS and we intend to use this as our pinnacle for resurrecting the old members out from hibernation as well as attracting new members to the game.   

 If there are any questions or concerns with regards to the settings please don’t hesitate to email any of the Admins. We will be happy to answer any of your questions. We try to leave a server running with our settings and would like ID to use these as the default settings for public servers. The one I run is called “Yankee 2”. Please feel free to jump in and try it out. Any pro member can start a match and or change these settings.                                                                                        

These are the North American Settings....As close to Quake 3 Arena Freeze Tag as we can get them.  We have increased the Health and Armor  for the time being to compensate for the lousy spawns we are all getting. When the spawning is fixed we will go back to regular starting health and armor.

To load the settings into your server just click start a match, click on advanced settings and highlight freeze Tag. On the top right bar is import settings, click import settings.....copy and paste the settings into the empty box, click ok. Then hit start server.
